About GHz [Gigahertz]

Ex-Root Boy Slim sidemen Dan Hovey and John Zidar, along with virtuosic free-lance bassist Scott Giambusso, have put together the closest thing to a Cream tribute band D.C. has ever seen. The band is named for the initials of the players' last names, GHz (pronounced Gigahertz).

They do more than just play explosive versions of the classic songs Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, & Blind Faith played live. They also play expanded renditions of classic tunes these groups never performed in concert. Tribute bands playing music of The Doors, Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix are everywhere, but, with the revived interest in Cream in 2005 after their London and NY reunions, many fans were left wondering how they can hear more of their amazing music … live!
