In the
summer of 2005, three
of The trio
decided at first to
dedicate themselves to shredding the hits and deep cuts by artists such
as Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, Jethro
Tull, The Doors, and Blind Faith. They
applied a combination of jazz savvy and raw power to explore the
elements that
made these earliest “jam bands” sound better then any of their
followers has
been able to since. The band began to play out in clubs and music
festivals,
astounding the listeners with their ability to create a true wall of
sound and
to bring to life the music that shaped each of them into career
musicians. Giambusso, Hovey & Zidar called the new band GHz [Gigahertz], and decided that
the next step was to propel this music to the present.
Now, the
waiting is over. GHz’s
new studio effort “There’s Trouble Coming” is OUT! The CD is full of
incredible, fresh tunes that have the same
eclectic mixture
of psychedelic adventure, sonic exploration and explosive playing
that
landed British Psychedelic Blues its place in history.
