Brief Bio
Dan has appeared as a solo artist and with a variety of duos and ensembles throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area, performing in concerts, festivals, coffeehouses, wineries, community events, theaters, and private engagements. His repertoire spans folk, country, blues, rock and roll, jazz, and in the singer-songwriter tradition, combining well-crafted interpretations with an ever-growing catalog of original songs.
Dan has enjoyed an extensive career as a theater musician, performing in the pit orchestras of Broadway productions in New York at the Winter Garden Theatre, the St. James Theatre, and the Marquis Theatre. His Broadway credits include Mamma Mia!, The Full Monty, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Swing!, in which he performed on stage. His Washington theater credits include the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Ford's Theatre, and the National Theatre.

Throughout his career, Dan has performed with a wide range of artists and ensembles, including Root Boy Slim and The Nighthawks. As guitarist and songwriter with The Nighthawks, he contributed original material to the band's recordings while continuing to pursue his own solo acoustic career.
While living in New York, Dan teamed up with fellow acoustic guitarist Fausto Bozza to form the duo Lo Yo-Yo. The pair held a weekly Monday night residency at The Ear Inn, one of SoHo's oldest historic taverns, for seven years developing the musical rapport and eclectic repertoire that continue to shape Dan's acoustic style today.
For the past five years, Dan has made Hank Dietle's Tavern his musical home base, performing a weekly happy hour engagement where he has continued to refine his distinctive solo acoustic style. Those performances inspired the title of Happy Hours, his debut solo CD on his own label, Home Fries Burnin' Productions. He is currently recording its follow-up.
Today, Dan continues to perform throughout the Washington metropolitan area, bringing the same curiosity, creativity, and love of music to every performance that first took hold more than sixty years ago.
